Marigpa is a tibetan word which means "ignorance" (ma is a negative particle in Tibetan language). The concept of course doesn't refers to knowledge ignorance but to ignorance or misconceptions about the nature of metaphysical reality, in particular about the impermanence, the nature of mind and non-self doctrines about reality. It is the root cause of Dukkha (uneasyness, uncomfortable, unpleasantness, difficulty, unsatisfactoriness) and asserted as the first link, in Buddhist phenomenology, of a process that leads to repeated birth. Marigpa or Avidya (in Sanskrit) is identified as the first of the twelve links of dependent origination (twelve nidanas)—a sequence of links that describe why a being reincarnates and remains bound within the samsara, a cycle of repeated births and deaths in six realms of existence. The twelve nidanas are an application of the Buddhist concept of pratityasamutpada (dependent origination). This theory, presented in Samyutta Nikaya II.2–4 and Digha Nikaya II.55–63, asserts that rebirth, re-aging and re-death ultimately arise through a series of twelve links or nidanas ultimately rooted in Avidya, and the twelfth step Jaramarana triggers the dependent origination of Avidya, recreating an unending cycle of dukkha. Sonam Rinchen states: "Every action leaves its imprint on the mind, and later craving and grasping activate the imprint to bring about its result. Underlying this kind of action is our ignorance, namely our innate misconception of the self, the root of all our troubles.
In this drawing i simply showed his face, the rest of body will be shown in next future.
Meaning: Ignorance (Tibetan)
Location: Bythos (Depth or Profundity in Ancient Greek)
Type: Nidana (cause, motivation or occasion in Sanskrit, depending on the contex)
Abilities: Marigpa is a really nasty individual who causes beings to be born into this world, clouds their minds and corrupt basic emotions and distract mind from pursuing virtue and knowledge of nature of mind. He feeds off emotions energies, weakening them and if they don't go away as soon as possible they risk to die. Marigpa is also able to corrupt every emotion and thought so it is pretty dangerous to be too close to him. He also has a wicked sense of humour but the thing he likes to do the most is torturing emotions and binding the mind of host to sensual attachment in order to turn him/her into a kind of slave of physical world, very similar to hylic men in valentinian gnosticism. After the psychological element of damagin the mind of host, Marigpa has an immense strenght that is rarely used unless provoked of forced to use it
Minions: Moha (delusion), Ahirika (lack of shame), Anottappa (disregard for consequence), Uddhacca (restlessness), Lobha (greed), Ditthi (wrong view), Mana (conceit), Dosa (hatred), Issa (envy), Macchariya (miserliness), Kukkucca (regret), Thina (sloth), Middha (torpor), Vicikiccha (doubt), Maya (illusion), Altruism, Egoism, Dvesha (ill will) and Raga (sensual attachment) [Links to these characters will be added further]
Likes: stupidity of people (he often says "Humans are such stupid creatures, so easy to manipulate that i feel ashamed.."), evilness, currupting emotions, toying with other lives, torture, devouring minds
Dislikes: Rigpa, Compassion, Meditation, Prajna, Generosity, Effort, Forgiveness and all purified emotions into Wisdoms.

That being said, the design is wicked. Tiger and human heads, put together down and up, going over into each other. It reminds me a bit of an Asure depiction, but also seems as if it could be its own thing. Either way, an entity, which is unnatural, and I could see as an ageless evil.
My O.I. is pheraps my most buddhist work and some of its characters derives from an unborn comic project where i showed the history and development of a Nagkpa (tantric laic) touched by crazy wisdom but then i abandoned the idea. Concepts still remain even if in a darker side. Don't be fooled by name "Altruism" he is a not so good guy but i will talk about him when i will show him. By my personal experience i can assure that Ignorance is the real root of all difficulties and bad things in the world and it is not only metaphysical Ignorance but also ignorance of Ignorance which leads dukkha. The fact he hates all positive aspects that can lead to Enlightenment is due to a simple thought: if i were an extremely negative being who feeds on living being's energies i would hate everything that bring those creatures away from me.
The design is a result of my strong imagination and acute visualization skills, i don't even need an effort to create something. It comes out naturally, as a kind of epiphany that appears in my mental consciousness; remember in visualization you don't use Eye Consciousness but the mental one. I Buddhist philosophy/religion there are 8 consciousnesses (this comes from Yogacara school of Buddhism) where it enumerates the five senses, supplemented by the mind, defilements of the mind, and finally the fundamental store-house consciousness, which is the basis of the other seven.
new perspective on the concept of Emotions, as they are
elevated to be something far more fundamental than just some
small things in our heads. And frankly, this does lead to a far
more interesting plot than Inside Out.
I suppose that with the design you have certainly shown how
your mind can create vivid images that come right on paper.
-When the label of pleasant is given to an object, we develop attachment.
-When the label of unpleasant is given to an object, we develop aversion, and sometimes even anger or hatred.
-When the label of neutral is given to an object, we often don't care about the object or even ignore it.
The process of labelling by the Feeling Aggregate usually only takes a fraction of a second. After applying the label, we tend to create a static opinion and image of the object in our mind. At this stage, the seed for prejudice is usually planted. Once we have established the opinion that something is pleasant or unpleasant, we often need a large amount of evidence before we are willing to change our mind - that is, if we are prepared to change our mind at all. Once we labelled an object unpleasant or bad, it appears as if the object is all bad by itself, as if badness is an inherent quality. We may label a person "bad", but the friends of this person would certainly not agree! Therefore, we need to realise that "good" and "bad" are merely subjective opinions of our mind, and the opinion is often founded on nothing more than a first glance and an almost automatic label.
Another curious aspect in this philosophy/religion is the fact negative emotions are pure aspects of Mind, this is particularly clear in tantric practises where for example in Hevajra Tantra it is said:
"With the very poison, a little of which would kill any other being, a man who understands poison would dispel another poison. Just as a man who suffers with flatulence is given beans to eat, so that wind may overcome wind in the way of a homeopathic cure, so existence is purified by existence in the countering of discursive thought by its own kind. Just as water entered in the ear is drawn out again by water, so also the notion of existing things is purified by appearances. Just as those who have been burned by fire must suffer again by fire, so those who have been burned by the fire of passion must suffer the fire of passion. Those things by which men of evil conduct are bound, others turn into means and gain thereby release from the bonds of existence. By passion the world is bound, by passion too it is released, but by the heretical Buddhists this practice of reversals is not know.
I showed you this excerpt because i know you are a very smart and open-minded person and you will certainly understand how even negative emotions can be used to purify negative emotions. There are the Four Enlightened Activities of a Buddha which are: pacifying, enriching, magnetising and destroying.
The last two are linked to wrathful practices while the first two are connected to peaceful practices. In the Tantra i showed you there is the last activity.
So that's why in my personal vision of emotions loosely based on that movie, emotions have both negative and positive aspects infact my Anger can have a purified form called Mirror-like Wisdom and this is taken from Buddhist religion.
